GK is already preset...the default goalkeeper training is fine anyway.

Its shit.

Here is my training schedule, its very good and I have logic to prove it Smiley

Right, heres some explanations :

Strength and Aerobics are reduced because the only important attributes they affect are Pace, Acceleration and Strength.

Goalkeeping has been increased because it affects important attributes; Aerial Ability, Handling, Kicking, Throwing, One on Ones

Tactics has been increased because it affects important attributes; Anticipation, Decisions, Positioning,Teamwork, Command of Area

Ball Control has been increased to improve the keeper's First touch.

Defending has been increased to improve Concentration.

Attacking has been increased to improve Passing.

Although you will not see the benefits of ball control, attacking and defending (because they do not come up on the keepers attributes page), they are being improved and you may even see your keeper's outfield rating improve.

The workload is on heavy because goalkeepers are unlikely to get tired during the season. Obviously, if your keeper keeps on getting injuries, reduce the workload.

Instructions:

1. Paste Vertanno's Goalkeeper Schedule.tsh into your my documents/sports interactive/football manager 2008/schedules folder. If there
is no schedules folder then simply make one.
2. In Football Manager 2008 go to training overview and click on schedules -> edit schedules.
3. Click import.
4. A file called "Vertanno's Goalkeeper Schedule.tsh" should be there, click that and then click ok. If you cannot see the "Vertanno's Goalkeeper Schedule.tsh" file then tell Football Manager 2008 where you have saved it.

Looks pretty solid.  I was sort of afraid to use it because after Schwarzer I've got a MASSIVE drop in quality before my #2 keeper, so if he gets injured I'm hopeless.  But it's been doing pretty well - the change was noticable after about 2-3 weeks.

It seemed to take longer for the schedules the other players were on.  Either that or the fact I'd basically appointed an entirely new coaching staff was slowing the process down at the start of the season.

You usually start to see some results in a month or two, and that could easily be played in a day.

Your goalkeepers set pieces? By set pieces I can only assume you mean free kicks, long throws and corners?

Increase/decrease sliders when you see nessecary.
