His nickname was "el aeroplanino" from the times he leaded Roma's attack. He starred aided by the superb playmaking of Totti and learnt the position of a striker next to the greatest of the last decade. When Batistuta left, in 2003, he had his best year scoring 22 in the toughest defensive league of the world. Since January, he is on loan at Fullham till the end of the season.

If you do not know yet of whom we are speaking, he is Vincenzo Montella. With 4 goals in his starting 5 matches, 4 as a substitute, Fulham manager Chris Coleman knows he has a diamond of a signing in Italian goal-master Vincenzo Montella and his only regret is that the on-loan Roma star, 32, must return to the Eternal City at the end of the season.

Vincenzo is a man of great potential. Ranked as a PA of 172, he is not Shevchenko, bust still is ranked among the top strikers of the world. However, at the age of 32, his best years are past. The question is whether you can train him right and raise his currently low CA (118 in my game). You shouldn't have much trouble with this, though, since his work rate of 19 is a precious asset Not the fastest striker in the world (acceleration and pace of 10), but his nice starting 17 in agility definitely helps him skid past the defenders. Rather technical for a striker (15), he can also pass better than many (15). His lethal finishing of 18, matched with rare positioning values (17 anticipation and 18 off the ball) are what make him a  top striker, even at his age.

Oh, and did i mention that in Roma he is not considered a first squad regular and thus you can get him for a mere 2m pounds?
