WC2006: Arjen Robben
(0 votes)
Written by k8oylos
Arjen Robben was probably Chelsea's best buy, the only trully technically apt player in Mourinho's squad. On Sunday he was also the man of the match and scorer in the Dutch hard win over the Serbians

Robben was a miracle in CM0102. I will always remember him because he was the first player i ever sold at the game's maximum allowed price, 53,4 billion greek drachmas or around 160 million euros.

But unlike the likes of Bakircioglu, Tsigalko, Samba, Mantorras (whom i also had the chance to get disappointed by yesterday) Robben has been proving every year since that he is a true football star.

And football manager can be proud that they have judged the player right. With a PA of 19 and an important matches of 17, he is more than able to handle pressure (16), thus taking up the task of leading the Dutch in the WC premiere. There are 3 features that make him unique: His excellent dribbling (20), when matched with his acceleration (18) and his movement in empty space (19) make him a lethal weapon. It was those 2 last attributes he utilised to rush to the back of the defense at the perfect timing and score yesterday
