Have you ever seen a facepack and wondered "How do I do that"? This tutorial should help you.
Facepack Guide OK, Here is an easy "step-by-step" guide on how to make your own FM facepack. 1.Assuming you already have a graphical application to make your face packs, open the program whether it be Photoshop or Paint shop pro and get ready to make your FM face pack. 2.Find the desired pictures of the players you want in order to build your face pack. Preferably, these images should be rather small. However, not too small 3.Now, create a new document on Photoshop, the size must be 95 x 95. 4.Furthermore, import the player you want into photoshop by clicking “open”, now move the player into the empty, transparent 95 x 95 box. Make sure the player fits, if not re-size the picture. 5.Add a border, maybe a themed or coloured border. This makes it look attractive and stylish in the game. To create a border in Photoshop: press ctrl + A, make a new layer and go to edit->stroke. Pick 1 pixel, centre, 100% and black as colour, or whatever colour you desire 6.Once you have done all of this, it is time to save the image, you must save the image as the format .PNG . This is vital in Football Manager. You can either save the image under the name of the player or the ID, the name of the player must be in lower case. 7.Now that you have saved all your player's faces it's time to put them actually in the game. This is done by a XML file. If you do not know how to make these files manually, then I would suggest paying a visit at thedugout.net where they have a little application called FMXML which will create the XML file for you. You must follow the code in each .config so that it matches the saved name of the player, you must also insert the ID of the player. 8.You also must put the file in the correct folder; see above for where to put face packs. 9.Restart the game to see your stylish face packs; also, starting a new game isn’t necessary. |
