While playing CM4 and CM0304, it becomes more and more obvious that there simply is one type of tactics to look at: The 4-4-2 formations obviously rule. The basic problem of 4-4-2 is that you will have trouble if the oponent has 2 fast strikers, and your trouble will be more obvious if he plays the counter attack. On the other hand, the classic 3-5-2 systems that ruled in CM3 are simply not working here any more. You will suffer from the rival wingers. So we still come back to 4-4-2,searching for the variation that would work best. In our opinion, 4-1-3-2, where one of the MCs is a clear DMC can be a solutiuon. Instructions to use:Pressing: The 4 Defenders do not press Marking: The Defenders and the DMC have zonal marking. Mentality: The DMC Defensive, the DCs, ultra-defensive Forward runs: All but the DMC-DCs Run with Ball: the MCs and the fast striker Hold up ball: At least one MC You can variate converting the central midfielder to an AMC |
