Wingers' training

Championship Manager seems to be overemphisizing the role of wingers, so you should pay special attention to those. You should bear in mind the following:

  • Wingers need to have high stamina, acceleration and pace. Though you should not use cross county in for the rest of the players, i do suggest you keep it for wingers, since it will greatly help with their stamina. Put also as many sprints as you can afford. There is nothing better than a winger with 18 or more in acceleration and pace.
  • And of course the second most important attribute of a winger is crossing. So a lot of crossing should be applied, especially since CM4 favours playing from the sides.
  • Wingers will quite often take corner kicks. So just give them a lot of set pieces(attacking). A good winger might end his season with 10-15 assists only from corners!
  • Agility is also most important for wingers
  • The rest of training should ressemble that of midfielders.
