Now here is a variation of the classic 4-4-2. It is called start 4-4-2 and the basic characteristic is that the wingers and wingbacks all move forward to a full attacking position.

Settings were as follows:
Passing: Short
Closing Down: Own half only
Mentality: Attacking
Offside trap on
Tackling: Normal
Zonal Marking
Counter Attack
Throw ins left, right: short

Player Instructions:
Closing down: Stand off
Distribution: Long Kick

Aston Villa
Compared to the previous formations we tested, this one seems to be working much better for Aston Villa, though not totally satisfying. The club board was not satisfied with results (they had been expecting a respectable league position. However, taking into consideration that in the two previous formations, manager k8oylos had been sacked by February, the sheer fact that this time he managed to make it up to the end of May seems promising

Aston Villa had 51 in the league table at the end of the game, with 38 goals score for, and 38 against, thus ending in the 10th position

Q.P.R.
Once more Q.P.R. scores great with a 4-4-2 tactic

With the previous 4-4-2 tactic we had tested, they had had 64-26 goals, whereas here they have scored 11 more and only conceded an extra 3.

Board was delighted at the team's performance, and fans as well!

Concluding
Compared to the 4-4-2 Fottmans tactic we tested here, this tactic looks surprisingly more promising. Q.P.R.finished at the same league position, with a better goal difference, whereas Aston Villa proved much better! We already knew that that the 4-4-2 tactics with wingers and wingbacks marching forward were a strong advantage in CM4, but certainly we hadn't expected a tactic THAT attacking perform so well. This was certainly one of the pleasant surprises of the test!
